Qiddiya Racetrack Unveiled

Start those engines, a Qiddiya racetrack has been unveiled.

Saudi has hosted F1 events in Jeddah’s Corniche circuit since joining the calendar back in 2021. With this new reveal, we’re sure that Qiddiya will be taking that spot as the hub of F1 races.

Overlooked by the Tuwaiq Mountains of Qiddiya City, the park will be home to zooming cars as well as many entertainment spots.

Located in the heart of the new city, the new Qiddiya racetrack is designed by Austrian former F1 driver Alex Wurz and German circuit designer Hermann Tilke. The forthcoming Saudi track a racetrack designed by racers for racers.

The racetrack itself will be pushing all the boundaries to the extreme, featuring 21 corners and utilising Qiddiya’s dramatic landscape to create over 108-metre of elevation gain per lap.

Qiddiya Racetrack: Blade

“Blade” will be the centrepiece of the track. (Credit: Qiddiya)At the heart of the Qiddiya racetrack, the centrepiece will be a pioneering circuit section “Blade”, which will be an elevated section of the circuit that dramatically rises more than 20 stories above ground. This section will also be above a music venue.

There will be two distinctive sections including a street circuit section and a fast open track section. Both will be fully integrated into the city’s neighbouring attractions like the Six Flag’s theme park. You’re sure to have some fun wile having an eye on the racing stage and racers will speed up alongside the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world as well as a water theme park.

Fans will have multiple vantage points, with viewing terraces available at the edge of and within the track. Adrenaline-fueled attractions, experiences and events will also be available.

The park will be located in the famous new Qiddiya City, with the Tuwaiq Mountains overlooking it.
