Legendary chef Anthony Bourdain is getting a biographical film
Joining the lineup of upcoming biographical films is one about the world-renowned chef and travel documentarian, Anthony Bourdain. The movie will have a simple title – Tony.
It’s not yet clear which part of Bourdain’s life will be portrayed on the big screen. However, it’s speculated that the lead role will go to young actor Dominic Sessa, who gained attention in the film The Holdovers. Fans are hopeful that Sessa will successfully capture Bourdain’s charm, wit, and remarkable sense of humor.
Additionally, this won’t be the first film to explore Bourdain’s life. The acclaimed documentary Roadrunner did the same. As a reminder, Anthony Bourdain passed away in 2018 at the age of 61.
He gained fame with the release of Kitchen Confidential, a memoir where he candidly discussed the less glamorous side of New York’s top restaurants. His TV series No Reservations brought him further recognition, including a visit to Croatia in 2012. At the time of his death, he was filming Parts Unknown for CNN in France.
