Hi Youssef and his family and easy for you on the “He” website; First, can you tell us about yourself ..

Welcome and “She”; My name is Youssef, I was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, and I trained as an architect. I have always been attracted to the movement, whether it was playing professional football in my youth or climbing mountains such as Aconcagua Mountain; The movement has always been a large part of my identity. I founded “Graffiti” in 2015 and I am still at the university, not a big business plan, but with a simple idea – create a space where people can move, communicate and grow together. Over time, this idea turned into a family -like society more than anything else.

If we want to explore more “graffiti”, what do you tell us about it?

“Graffiti” is the first gym in Dubai for Calisthenics and Parkour, but most importantly; It is a space designed for people to move with a goal, we started in a small warehouse with a big dream. Dubai, for me, a city that flourishes with ambition and bold ideas; So it was completely logical to create “graffiti” here. I wanted to create something real, a local thing, feel comprehensive, expression, and strength in its simplicity.

What distinguishes “Graffiti” to make it a destination that deserves a visit?

In “Graffiti”, it is not about the number of repetitions that you perform or the amount of what you raise; Rather, you feel your feeling, how you move and communicate, how to push your limits, not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. We have turned steel and concrete bars into a play arena; Where you will find people from all aspects of life training side by side – whether it is for gymnastics, parkour, jumping, or just because of the feeling of strength in their daily lives. We are a space for movement, and we are proud to represent the culture of the secret movement in a city that always looks forward.

If we want to explain to our readers what is parkour and gymnastics, how do you describe these activities with words?

Gymnastics is a body weight training; It is related to control, strength, and progress. It includes movements such as standing on the hands, clouds, raising muscles, as well as simpler movements. It constantly includes using your body as a whole instead of just one muscle. No machines, or mirrors – just you and the natural environment.

On the other hand, parkour is a creative movement. Remove the flow and freedom and use your environment to move in a look that looks natural and instinctive. Together, it is not a suitable appearance as much as it is related to fitness; These two exercises teach you to trust your body and stir with confidence, whether climbing a wall or just entering a room and your head raised.

Why is the movement very important, in your opinion, for our well -being and our well -being?

Movement is a treatment; It is the best way we get rid of stress, find our balance, and we feel that we ourselves again. It is not only about the body, but the movement also describes your mind. In a city that is always teeming with activity, the movement gives us a moment to slow down; And when we move together, it becomes more than just an exercise. It becomes a connection, affiliation and society, and I think this is what we are all looking for.

How can we integrate more movement into our daily routine, especially in light of the rapid and exhausting lifestyle that we live today?

You do not need to jump over the walls or do anything exaggerated, to move purposefully. You only need to start with what you feel possible – stretching when waking up, walking while talking on the phone, and attaching to a penis that is found. It is not about doing everything; Rather, it is related to something. Even only 10 minutes a day adds a lot, and when you feel conveniently and be surrounded by people who encourage you, you become part of your life, and not just a routine task. This is what we seek to build in graffiti – an area in which the movement feels natural, fun and participating.

How can “Graffiti” help Dubai residents move meaning?

In graffiti, we focus on practical, fun and expressive movement. By removing pressure; Physical fitness does not relate to possessing divided abdominal muscles or outperforming the person next to you, it is related to a feeling of physical comfort and enjoyment of the process. When exercises look like fun, people bring more; And when the movement is a process, it moves to real life. And when everyone – comprehensive, easy to reach, and leads to society; It stops being frightening and begins to be able. This is what we believe in in graffiti.
