Tuwaiq Sculpture Returns for Its Sixth Edition

Get Ready for an Unforgettable Experience

The Tuwaiq Sculpture is back for its sixth edition, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss. Organized by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Riyadh Art, this event brings together people and art in a unique and exciting way.

Livestream Sculpting Sessions

Head over to ROSHN Front where you can watch 30 artists from 23 countries (including seven local artists) bring their sculptures to life right in front of you until Saturday February 8. This is an opportunity to witness the creative process and see the transformation of rough stones into masterpieces.

Exhibition and Workshops

From Wednesday February 12 to Monday February 24, the final works will be kept on display in an exhibition you won’t want to miss. Alongside the exhibition, a wide range of free workshops, masterclasses, and educational tours will be offered to encourage everyone to engage with the art.

Hands-On Experiences

Families and children can get creative with Paper-Mache, crafting sculptures using recycled materials, while adults can explore unique art forms such as Architectural Cubism in Painting. Collaborative sessions like Community as Canvas encourage participants to work together to create public murals – perfect if you’re looking to spend meaningful time with the little ones.

Mastery and Technique

Hobbyists can attend masterclasses on public art installations and exhibition design with a focus on considering space and audience interaction. Technical sessions, such as The Craft of Care: Mastering Art Handling, teach essential techniques for safely handling and installing artwork.

Apprenticeship Program

Schools, universities, and art institutions are invited to observe live sculpting and public installations. Emerging Saudi artists will also have the opportunity to pair up with master sculptors and learn hands-on techniques through the Tuwaiq Sculpture’s apprenticeship program.

What Happens to the Sculptures?

After the exhibition, the sculptures will become part of Riyadh’s permanent art collection, adding to the city’s vibrant cultural landscape.
