The inaugural LIV Golf Riyadh kicks off in 2025

Start practicing your backswing and get ready to tee off: LIV Golf is officially coming to the Saudi Capital.

The LIV Golf Riyadh event is heading to the city for its third season. The popular golfing tournament is back for three days in February 2025 at Riyadh Golf Club.

LIV Golf is bidding the Red Sea city of Jeddah goodbye and taking its third season to the bustling Saudi capital. The league sees players for across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East teeing off on the green-laid pitch for some exciting action. The tournament is happening for the first time in Riyadh and if it’s anything like previous seasons, it’s going to be one to remember.

The exciting golf tournament is back at its new location starting from Thursday February 6, 2025 to Saturday February 8, 2025.

LIV Golf

Founded in 2022, LIV Golf is one of the top two international golf tours in the world. Golfers play the competition over three days and across 54 holes (hence the roman numerals LIV in the title).

The 2024 event took place at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. Situated by the Red Sea in King Abdullah Economic City, the golf course is around 100 kilometres north of Jeddah.

LIV Golf fan experiences

Fan Village

The Fan Village was accessible through all the ticket categories and was open daily from 10am.

Promising loads of entertainment, the Fan Village had a fun kids’ zone for the little ones as well as golf-themed games and interactive activities, the activation area allowed guests to experience golf firsthand, all while enjoying food and beverages throughout the day. Large video screens were also present to watch all the action live.

Beach Club

A beach club was also set up near the 16th hole tee box right beside the Red Sea. The club hosted daily DJ sets while feasting on a selection of food, including famous Japanese eatery, ROKA, which was highly commended as Best Japanese at the Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards 2023. Beverages were also available throughout the day, along with lively beach games and a fireworks display to finish off the excitement.

Play golf with the LIV Golf pros

At the 2024 event, visitors were able to play the course alongside the pros and get top tips on the game. The professionals helped with mastering the perfect swing and putting. What an opportunity.

Guests also took a solo tour or were joined by two fellow fans in a group of three. You could also take all three group tickets and do this activity with friends. The day included a free meal and a competitor’s gift.

LIV Golf Jeddah’s star-studded 2024 line-up included some of the biggest names in golf like 2023 masters champion Jon Rahm, 2023 PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, Talor Gooch, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, and Phil Mickelson, among others.
